CHAPTER: ALLAAH'S APOSTLE (SALLALLAAHU ALAYHI WA SALLAM) INVOKED BLESSINGS UPON THE TRIBES OF GHIFAR AND ASLAM  

No. 6112

Abu Dharr reported Allaah's Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) as saying: Go to your people and say that the Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) says: Ghifar (is a tribe) to whom Allaah granted pardon, and Aslam (is the tribe) to whom Allaah granted safety.

Abu Dharr reported Allaah's Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) as saying: To the tribe of Aslam Allaah has granted safety and to the tribe of Ghifar Allaah has granted pardon.

No. 6114

This hadith has been reported on the authority of Shu'ba with the same chain of transmitters.

No. 6115

This hadith has been narrated through other chains of transmitters but all of them narrated on the authority of Jabir that Allaah's Prophet (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) said: To the tribe of Aslam Allaah has granted safety and to the tribe of Ghifar Allaah has granted pardon.

No. 6116

Abu Huraira reported Allaah's Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) as saying: To the tribe of Aslam Allaah has granted safety and to the tribe of Ghifar Allaah has granted pardon. Verily it is not I that say this, but (it is) Allaah the Exalted and Glorious. (who) says this.

No. 6117

Khufaf b. Jura' reported that Allaah's Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) said in prayer: O Allaah, hurl curse upon the tribe of Lihyan and Ri'l aid Dhakwan and Usayya for they disobeyed Allaah and His Messenger, (and for) Ghifar Allaah has granted pardon and for the tribe of Aslam Allaah has granted safety.

Ibn 'Umar reported Allaah's Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) as saying: Allaah has granted pardon to the tribe of Ghifar and to the tribe of Aslam Allaah has granted safety and as for Usayya tribe, they disobeyed Allaah and His Messenger.

No. 6119

This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Ibn Umar with a slight variation of wording (and the wording) that Allaah's Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) said this on the pulpit. This hadith has been reported on the authority of Ibn Umar but through another chain of transmitters.
